Kelly Boltz HEAD COACH
The UGA IHSA Equestrian Team is coached by Kelly Boltz of Athens, GA. Kelly began riding at age 6 at Huntcliff Equestrian Center in Alpharetta, Georgia. Through the years Kelly focused on the hunter/jumper discipline and competed at local, A and AA shows throughout the southeast. She has ridden with many trainers including Nicole Imbriglio, Kindra Warner, Heather Steinman and Kelly Eaton. She has also participated in many clinics including several with George Morris, Frank Madden, Michael Page, and Kyle Carter. Kelly has competed in the jumper ring as well as the equitation ring and qualified for the USET Talent Search Finals on the west coast, champion at HITS Ocala and made it to level two of the Emerging Athletes Program. Kelly has competed seasoned horses but enjoys training and competing young horses. She has trained and sold several horses that now show regularly with their new owners. She enjoys teaching, both horses and students, and is both patient and assertive.
Kim Fraher ASSISTANT COACH
We are excited to announce our new assistant coach, Kim Fraher. Kim is the barn manager at KB Sport Horses LLC, and oversees the daily care of the UGA IHSA horses and facility. Kim started riding at the age of 8 in Alpharetta, GA. She grew up focusing mainly on show jumping at local and rated shows in the southeast, but has also competed in the equitation and hunter rings. Kim has worked in many different areas of the horse industry beyond the hunter/jumper discipline, including therapeutic riding, exercising racehorses, and even grooming for the Budweiser Clydesdales. She focuses on instilling a well-rounded foundation to help students reach their horsemanship and riding goals.
